How to Create Ranks using LuckPerms.

1. We are going to be assuming you have the LuckPerms plugin installed on your server if not click the link below:

Important Note: You need Vault as well for the plugin to work

2. Once you have LuckPerms fully set up on your server and you have restarted your server, in your console type "lp editor" or if you are doing it in your ingame type "/lp editor"

3. Click the link and it will take you to a screen that looks like this:

5. Go over to where it says Groups and click the plus (+) symbol

6. Once you have clicked the plus (+) symbol a new window will appear. You want to make the Group name the rank you are making, for example, Owner 

8. The next thing we need to do is create a Weight for the rank. The Weight is the order in which the ranks will appear in LuckPerms. We recommend you have the lowest as 10 then work your way up. For the best results we also recommend you increment them in 20 (20, 40, 60...) so if you need to squeeze a role in you can.

9. We are now moving onto the Prefix and Suffix. The Prefix is the word that appears before your name, for example: Owner Bob123.

• The suffix is the exact opposite of a prefix as a Suffix is a word that appears after the name for example: Bob123 Owner.
• For this, we are only going to be using a Prefix but it is up to you on what you want to do.
• Another thing you can do with the Prefixes and Suffixes is to add colour to them.
  Here is a chart of some colours and the hex codes for them:

Note: When using colours you have to place them at the start of the word/sentence. For example:

11. The final step is to press the green button below named "Add Group".

13. Your rank is finally made now all you need to do is click the Save/Apply button in the top right of your screen

14. Now your rank is made and saved you can go into your world and type the following command: /lp user <username> parent add <rank>
This command adds the rank to the player. To remove the rank type the following command: /lp user <username> parent remove <rank>.
